Safe, Equitable Health Care

The National Institute of Health defines quality care as safe, effective, patient centered, timely, efficient and equitable. Yet, a recent study conducted by the American Heart Association concluded that 56% of LGBTQ adults and 70% of those who are transgender or gender nonconforming have experienced some form of discrimination. We at Revan Health and Revan Rx know this is nothing new.

Quality care guides all our interactions. Our mission at Revan is to provide welcoming, respectful family medicine for all from infants to geriatrics and we offer specialized care for the LGBTQ community. “We are active advocates in the community and are invested in providing a resource that just isn’t here yet,” says partner Justin Evans. “Our staff is culturally competent and respectful. We are health care for the community, by the community.”

In order to better provide that equitable, safe, quality care, Revan Health introduces our new partner and provider Bridget VanTreese, MSN, APRN-CNP, FNP-BC, AGACNP-BC.

Onboarding Bridget and folding her practice into Revan has upped our game when it comes to providing quality health care in a safe space for everyone who visits us. “I referred patients to their pharmacy in the past and I knew they were an affirming pharmacy and had great experiences with them,” she says. “Coming together helps us create a better resource for the community a lot faster.”

Joining forces makes us an oasis in the region for safe, affirming, LGBTQ friendly, all-inclusive, affordable primary care. We want to be a center of health and wellness here in the community.

With Bridget’s help we’re growing and making plans to provide wraparound mental health services where medical care, mental health care and pharmacy services are all provided in the same place, allowing providers to communicate and giving patients more comprehensive care with better outcomes. “Having complete, high-quality health care in an outpatient setting is really unprecedented,” says VanTreese.

Having an open dialogue with patients is key to making sure they not only understand their treatment but also adhere to any medication or therapeutic regimen that is prescribed.

We also work to find solutions and cost savings, including sliding scale pricing, for all our patients ensuring that out of pocket costs are kept to a minimum.

Everyone is welcome at Revan.
